Strip wax is applied with a spatula in the direction of the hair and removed using either a paper or fabric strip. Hot wax is a much thicker wax, almost like treacle, that is applied with a spoon and worked with and against the hair growth. It is left to harden and then removed. Hot wax is suitable if your skin is very sensitive. Hair must be at least 1cm long for either waxing treatment. It is not advisable to have a sauna, steam or any other heat treatment for at least 12 hours after waxing. All waxing must be carried out 24 hours before tanning treatment.

The Ellipse Intense Pulsed Light System is a clinically proven method of permanently reducing unwanted hair safely and effectively from the face and body. IPL treatment is a progressive hair removal treatment that results in up to 80% hair removal after a course of a minimum of 6 treatments. IPL works on the pigment of the hair. Light is absorbed by the pigment and turned to heat which then kills the growing cells that make the hair. This is progressive, so a 4 to 6 weekly treatment is required. IPL hair removal will only work where the hair is darker than the skin. It is not successful on blonde hair.
